RELEASE: Dunkirk City Councilman Don WIlliams Jr. Endorses Eddie Sundquist for Congress
Dunkirk City Councilman Don Williams Jr (D-1st Ward) announced in a statement today that he is endorsing Democratic Congressional Candidate Eddie Sundquist in his bid to replace Rep. Tom Reed.
In a statement, Councilman Williams said:
“As I have gotten to know Eddie over the past year, he has shown a commitment to his home district and an enthusiasm unmatched by anyone else in this race. He is the only candidate to release a comprehensive Jobs Plan, which focuses on what matters most to my city, our county, and the district as a whole: bringing good-paying jobs back to areas like Dunkirk and Chautauqua County. For that reason, I will work tirelessly to get Eddie elected in November.”
In response, Democratic Congressional Candidate Eddie Sundquist released the following statement:
“I am honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of Councilman Williams. Over the years, he has been a tireless advocate for working families in the City of Dunkirk. I look forward to working with him to bring high quality jobs back to Dunkirk and the entire Southern Tier.”
