RELEASE: Stonewall Democrats Endorses Eddie Sundquist for Congress

Congressional Candidate Eddie Sundquist today announced that he has received the endorsement of the Stonewall Democrats, the official LGBT caucus of the Democratic Party, for the New York 23rd Congressional District Primary being held on June 26.

Stonewall Democrats of Western New York President Bryan Ball stated:

“Eddie has been a tireless advocate for LGBT individuals around his district this entire campaign. He is a native Western New Yorker, and someone who understands how to successfully message LGBT issues to the people of the Southern Tier. With his leadership in Congress, Eddie will help fight for the issues important to our community. We need Eddie Sundquist in Congress, and Stonewall Democrats of WNY is proud to endorse him.”

In response, Eddie Sundquist released the following statement:

“I am honored to be endorsed by the Stonewall Democrats, a group that been on the forefront of LGBT advocacy in the region for over 20 years. As an openly gay candidate, I will not sit idly by as the rights of LGBTQ individuals are in danger from the current administration. From discrimination in the workplace, education, healthcare, and even our courtrooms, we must recognize everyone as equal. I look forward to working with the Stonewall Democrats in ensuring equality for all.”

Eddie Sundquist is an attorney and former teacher from Jamestown, NY.
